A few have no consistent theme, and some don't make sense. I really love this collection of poetry. It resonated with me for many reasons and whenever it came to the poems under my sign, I literally got tears. Well done. I highly recommend. But in the end I guess she chose to write about neither and I am still wondering where the "brutally honest" part was as this book is about as deep and dark as a children's picture book. We get in our own way by adhering to toxic beliefs that divide and belittle and diminish, distracting us from the real work of the spiritual path, which is to go deeper, not get smaller.

I think she roasted Geminis once (ironically not in the Geminis chapter though) but then again calling us "two faced" is far from the best insult I've ever heard about my rising sign. Does this even have something to do with star signs? Because the stuff written in the poems is oddly specific and hardly relatable. In the Christmas story, we are made acutely aware that there was no room for Joseph and Mary to rest when they arrived in Bethlehem, in the more traditional places reserved for hospitality in Jewish culture. This meant they had to use other spaces which were available. And I am not saying that the 30% that are actually are about the zodiac signs are bad because they're not totally terrible, for example I liked how she introduced every sign by listing things that make her think of each of them. I had a hard time choosing a rating for this one. Like a previous poetry collection I read by the same author, the poems are very personal. Majority of the poems are based off of people they knew or met, or of herself, so it is difficult to rate something very personal.The Bethlehem stable has room for all people – including you, including me. Every single person is part of this story. God wants all of us to take our place and receive love, wholeness and peace. it wasn’t very well written nor did it resonate with me. none of the descriptions matched me or any of the signs i know. but that is definitely not the deciding factor in my dislike of this collection. And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

I love this collection of poetry and I love Michaela’s poetry in general. Another great collection from a wonderful poet! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 In the extreme, it may have been communicated to you in a thousand different ways that for you to be holy, you must rid yourself of yourself. But friend, it doesn't even make sense...that an expansive, creative, luminous, Divine energy that is loving and compassionate and justice driven and courageous and gracious by nature would need you to clear out so that it can take the stage. But seriously why are there no poems about the most obvious characteristics of every zodiac sign???Sermons have been preached, videos have been made, books have been written, songs have been sung, and prayers have been prayed, all along the lines of becoming so small so that God can become so large, as if there is only a certain amount of space for us to occupy together, and God needs more room than you do. Starting with Aries and ending with Pisces, it's a collection about looking for love, self-reflection, depression, healing ancestral patterns, and finding beauty in being alone. It has themes of astrology, finding yourself, dating, family, grief and loss. I only like the “Childhood” Chapter ✨ but I can’t seem to give a rating since reading this make me understand what the author gone through & her feelings…but the book is just not for me.. so to give a rating is kinda hard because it feel like I’m rating her emotion & experience? So i decided not to rate 🫶🏼 here are the one i love ⬇️ My favorite was probably the Virgo chapter, where it's suddenly all about being a feminist and having mommy issues, like it's somehow a universal experience for all Virgos to not get along with their mothers.
