Virtual Golf 2 comprises of features that are designed to make the game more fun and informative. Pebble Beach Golf Course has recently been added to their simulator. It’s also worth noting that the Mevo+ includes the wall adapter so you can charge it from any outlet. The Mevo just has the charging cable, so you’ll need to plug it into a USB port on your computer. Choose up to four views at a time for the ultimate practice, teaching, or fitting experience. Users have the ability to customize these four views to fit their exact needs. The metrics we consider when rating Personal Launch Monitors include Accuracy, Ease of Use, Portability, and Features.

As you’ll see above, the Foresight range comes with a projector, but if you’re looking to build your own then there are plenty of projectors are available to use on your simulators. Some of them have good quality, some are optimum for beginners. some are perfect for professionals. Other than that, you will also find the expensive ones. Here are some of the best projectors for golf simulators. With Mevo Plus, there are two extra steps. As you can see above on the left, there’s a camera that you can use to align the Mevo+ with your target to improve accuracy. You also need to set the tilt, which I found to be a bit aggravating. The monitor won’t work if the tilt is wrong, but it doesn’t tell you which direction to adjust it. This isn’t a major issue and it doesn’t take long to adjust, but it’s a small thing that could be improved. A golf simulator can help golfers in improving their game. These items are not only a great way to get out of boredom. But, with the right simulator, you can polish your shots without needing to get out on the field. Simulators like Foresight Sports GC2 SwingBay and Uneekor QED SwingBay are some of the simulators that will improve the game using easy to use UI and loaded features. What is the cheapest golf simulator? I found the app very intuitive, and pretty much anything I wanted to adjust could be done in the settings section. Even the best golf launch monitors must be easy to use. For most of us, practice time is limited and it shouldn’t be wasted trying to configure, connect and use a device meant to help us improve faster. Some units require more precise placement at setup.I can safely say this is the first time I’ve personally tested a launch monitor where I had full confidence in the accuracy of the data.

I think if you’re going to use your launch monitor primarily indoors, camera-based units make the most sense for the serious player, especially if you have limited ball flight. I think the accuracy of consumer grade radar is good indoors, but it’s not quite at the level of the professional stuff, which is why there’s such an enormous price difference. While I don’t exactly have a super scientific way to judge the accuracy, I did my best. I took a rangefinder and got the exact distance to one of the pins, and then hit balls with a gap wedge and based on my shot would try and guess how far the ball was based on the proximity to the flag. It feels like a small thing to be able to do this, but I found being able to use my watch to be an incredibly convenient and useful tool while I was on the range using the FlightScope. The data you receive is accurate, however, my biggest problem is hitting the ball straight and fixing my slice. As the category suggests, camera-based launch monitors use high-definition cameras to measure ball data at, and immediately following, impact. While camera-based systems can’t measure the full flight of the golf ball, they typically provide more accurate axis tilt and spin measurements and are far more reliable in limited-flight scenarios. It’d be nice to be able to see all 8 points at once, but honestly for what I use it for, I don’t need most of them all at the same time. If you want the best of the best, look no further than Rapsodo. It might only give you few data metrics but they are accurate. It comes with a Doppler radar and an application on your phone. The app records all your session data along with your swing which is recorded via video. Depending on how competitive you are, you have the option to compete with others around the world. Whether its long drive or a skills’ challenge, the Rapsodo has you covered. These are just some of the reasons why Rapsodo was crowned Most Wanted Personal Launch Monitor Winner of 2021. And unfortunately, since there isn’t any lateral data, it’s tough to truly get a sense of how your accuracy is improving – especially if the thing you’re working on is fixing a swing flaw like a slice. Both apps are reasonably user friendly. There is a fair amount of depth in the settings, but much of that can be ignored if you prefer a plug-and-play experience. In both apps, you can customize the data displayed and use video. Video needs to be recorded by your phone or tablet, so I wish FlightScope had included some kind of phone mount the way Garmin did with the R10 [review HERE].
