My 2 year old boy loves naming all the animals as we go through and he is a massive fan of this book in general. Simple, but clever clues to each animals, my class of year 2s found it a challenge to remember which letter comes next without going from the beginning each time . Lovely interactive book with flaps and peep-through cut-out pages; an alphabet through animals, with a short sentence about each animal. I'm not 100% sure if a child would want to read it over and over again, once they've figured out everything, but I think some would.Further books illustrated by Axel include Room on the Broom, Stick Man, Zog and The Smeds and the Smoos – all of which have been made into much-loved animated films by Magic Light Pictures.
