Description

In 1715 a young man by the name of Jean Martell from Jersey, started a business in cognac on the banks of the river Charente finding the very first of the major cognac houses.

At Martell, we do not recommend warming Cognac as it brings out the alcohol too strongly and releases the aromas too quickly.

This gorgeously golden-amber cognac is alive with the aromas of lime and liquorice, with juicy notes of plum, raisin and crystallised fruit of quince, with an oaky undercurrent and a hint of toasted hazelnut. Forging closer links to the creative arts, Martell launched its annual, Artist of the year exhibition in china, honouring four artist with the independence and inspiration that Jean Martell had.

Established in 1715, Martell House is one of the longest-running cognac houses in the world and has a rich history behind each of its beautiful drinks. The cognac has a warm copper colour in the glass, with glints of gold, giving it a luminous-like appearance.Perfect serve - A versatile cognac to enjoy on its own, poured over ice, or lengthened with a mixer. Martell VS (‘Very Special’) cognac was created over 150 years ago under the ‘Three Star’ name (***) and is enjoyed all over the world. A cognac to enjoy neat, as a long drink (mixed with ginger ale or tonic water, for example), or in a cocktail. All packages containing alcohol will have a "documents enclosed" pouch attached to the outside with a document inside showing the value of the goods purchased.

they launched their Martell Creation Grand Extra with its decanter created by renowned glass designer Serge Mansau. Cork taint is more common in bottles with a traditional cork closure, and is recognisable by a damp, rotten wood or rotten cardboard smell. With its distinctive, arch-shaped bottle, Martell XO is a powerful symbol of inspiration — a testimony to Jean Martell’s visionary spirit. Their VS expression is the foundation of Martell’s enormous international success and works well on its own or in cocktails. Tronçais means the trees have been planted closer together to slow their growth rate, giving a fine grain, which imparts soft subtle tannins with wonderfully rich aromas.
