Chase Vodka is made with only two ingredients: potatoes from their farm and water from their bore hole, making it the only true Single-Estate spirit in the UK. However, Chase Distillers, based on the William Chase family farm in Herefordshire, turned their potato surplus into a creamy premium craft vodka. Chase Vodka was named as the world's best vodka at the 2010 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, beating 249 other vodkas from countries including Russia and Poland.
Chase Vodka won double gold and named ‘the world’s best vodka’ at the San Francisco world spirit championship 2010. A century old recipe guards the secrets of Amaro Montenegro and produces a tonic liqueur that has been enjoyed regularly throughout this time. Kiss Chase: 2 parts Chase Vodka, 1 part Chase Elderflower Liqueur, ¼ freshly squeezed lemon, top up with pressed apple juice. Despite the name, its flavour is not bitter at all, with the strong aromatic flavour, powerful with gentian and spices. Created using traditional artisan methods that a distiller of over 100 years ago would recognise in bespoke copper batch pot stills and unique 70 foot rectification column (the tallest in Europe).The production process involves peeling, heating and mashing the potatoes before adding yeast for fermentation. Other potato vodka products from the Chase Distillery are flavoured with elderflower (Chase Elderflower Liqueur), fresh fruit (Chase Fresh Fruit Liqueurs), Seville orange (Chase Marmalade Vodka), smoked oak (Chase English Oak Smoked Vodka) and rhubarb (Chase Rhubarb Vodka). Pure as they come, each glass of DDV is beautifully smooth and has a creaminess to its texture which makes you want to go back for more.
