Obviously, I won't go deeply into Accurist history here, but using mere memory, I can say a few things about the firm. With useless subdials you can't read - I mean who thought black hands on a black dial was a good idea!Alongside that, there's a push-pull crown and a pair of pushers that aren't very responsive but get the job done. I would date this watch to about the middle 1950s, and I urge you to look at the hands - they have been allowed to stretch out to the fullest and most desirable length while still retaining their single geometry, and the neat short pointed rear ends to the hands are the ideal complement. While the brushing is basic and doesn't rival much more expensive watches, I think it's the correct choice that matches the theme of the watch and helps conceal scratches; something that budget watches are particularly susceptible to.

Fitted with a 20mm brushed black ion plated stainless steel bracelet this mens Accurist is the perfect watch for all occasions. Unless Sekonda have raised their game significantly I would put Accurist above them, just my opinion.
