Before I sign off, I must just congratulate dear Wrench for showing us a watch from the first period of Accurist production.

Obviously, I won't go deeply into Accurist history here, but using mere memory, I can say a few things about the firm. With useless subdials you can't read - I mean who thought black hands on a black dial was a good idea!Alongside that, there's a push-pull crown and a pair of pushers that aren't very responsive but get the job done. I would date this watch to about the middle 1950s, and I urge you to look at the hands - they have been allowed to stretch out to the fullest and most desirable length while still retaining their single geometry, and the neat short pointed rear ends to the hands are the ideal complement. While the brushing is basic and doesn't rival much more expensive watches, I think it's the correct choice that matches the theme of the watch and helps conceal scratches; something that budget watches are particularly susceptible to.

Fitted with a 20mm brushed black ion plated stainless steel bracelet this mens Accurist is the perfect watch for all occasions. Unless Sekonda have raised their game significantly I would put Accurist above them, just my opinion. It has been used around 6 or 7 times and is in very good condition STORM MK4 Circuit 47302/SL is an amazing and handsome Gents watch. Over and above the box the original receipt (which also looks quite impressive) has survived which dates the sale to 1951. If you’re looking for one statement accessory that’ll stay in trend, check out our selection of men's watches.Accurist has produced some very fine quartz watches, especially those related to its relationship with the Greenwich Observatory. I find this particularly notable because most of the movements (other than their Shockmaster models) have had no shock protection. The brand is a name that I certainly don't mind wearing on my wrist, and my most expensive quartz watch purchase was an Accurist Greenwich grand complication with perpetual calendar and chronograph, made with a hand-made Citizen movement in Japan. With a mix of dainty styles and chunky options, we offer styles for all kinds of preferences and occasions.
