When deflating the sleeping pad, it took me around 3-5 minutes to get the air out, roll it up, and put it back in the stuff sack, which was all really easy. It took me much less time and energy to blow up the Static V2 than my old pad, so I give it a 5 out of 5 for inflation. The chambers are filled with light, durable Klymalite™ synthetic insulation to add another layer of protection from the cold ground, and dynamic side rails cradle you comfortably on your pad for a more restful sleep. It would be nice to have a pad that offers some insulating warmth, but again, it doesn't claim to offer insulation, and Klymit offers an insulated version of this pad as well. If you need a lightweight, small pad to throw in your bag on your travels, this is an excellent sleeping pad. I could feel the cold coming through, so to use in really cold weather would require a reflector of some kind to block the cold transfer. When it's time to head on to the next campsite, just press the push-valve for a quick deflation, and toss the pad in the included storage sack. Different upper and lower fabric thicknesses result in a reasonable overall weight and a boost in durability over some superlight sleeping pads. For a full length insulated sleeping mat the Static V Lite is a very comfortable, lightweight and compact option.What the Static V2 does is combine a reasonable level of comfort, weight savings, and durability into an affordable package that's a great option for seasoned backpackers and newbies alike.
