I loved Britney (still do), and was very taken with the 2004 billboard ad for Curious, featuring the princess of pop in a halterneck dress, signature blonde hair long and tousled, peeking beguilingly at the camera from the side. I love this SO much, I don't see anyone talking about this as much as Britney's other perfumes which is beyond disappointing to me.

Has a bit of sweetness from the pear, which is rather timid here comparing to, let's say, Ariana Grande's perfumes, but not as beautiful as Mon Guerlain's Sparkling Bouquet. I think this is much better quality than many reviews would suggest, but it’s not modern smelling as things have gone rather sweet and gourmand in the years since this one was released (most of Britney’s scents included! I know this has been around forever but I wasn’t really keen on trying celebrity perfumes before I started my perfume journey. It's a cheapie, but this doesn't smell of poor quality at all, I think it smells like a dead ringer for many designer fragrances on the market.I’ve actually been thinking about adding it to my collection again because I miss it and have been thinking about it a lot. This takes the magnolia in an aquatic, fruity direction with pear, and although there is still a hint of creamy white-floral from the tuberose it doesn't take the creamy facets as far as magnolia scents like L'Instant de Guerlain EDT. With Louisiana magnolia and wrapped in the sensuality of vanilla-infused musk it is a lovely combination of floral scents and creates a sweet fragrance suitable for day or night. These are very pretty together, although I found it difficult to detect any of the pear, vanilla or woods. Putting it simply, it's a floral, fresh fragrance with a nostalgic quality to it, not just due to it being almost 20 years old, but because I recognize it from some *thing*, not someone, from my childhood years.

Please read the full reviews and consider your own needs and preferences before making a purchasing decision. The florals are sheer and beautiful with a slight tartness from the floral trifecta of jasmine, tuberose and cyclamen all evened out with the white musk, vanilla, and sandalwood.

I remember the pear, jasmine, lotus and magnolia blending beautifully and the dry down held those notes with a little added musk. I keep getting it confused for the lingering hair dye smell that’s in my hair, but it’s the fragrance. It's funny that the notes are thus, because I literally thought to myself - 'Smells like a melange of aquatic notes, white florals.For light intensity: spray in a cloud around your head and shoulders, let the fragrance fall gently around you. Perfumes with natural ingredients often smell different in batches based on the source of the ingredients, while synthetic ingredients usually have consistency in their smell and lasts longer. I remember being a pre-teen and sniffing the tester for this perfume in magazines, and of course also her iconic commercial. I’m not sure what’s goin on with this one at the moment, could be the not so warm weather here in San Diego, or it could be my Nose.
